While most public schools within the United Stated, that allow corporal punishment, are governed by the rules set forth by the district school board, the same does not hold true for a private school. This is even to the point that in states in which corporal punishment is not allowed, private institutions may still use it. With the majority of private school having a strong Christian influence, school paddling is more often the norm as a means to administer discipline. They will typically have a written corporal punishment policy, but it is created without any influence from a governing board outside the walls of their schools. With the majority of private schools either being religious based, or a school for a somewhat troubled teen, the paddle is not only alive and well in these schools, it is used liberally.
Let’s take a quick peek at the policies of a couple of private schools. The first one is a school in which students who have found themselves in a lot of trouble in the public school, are sent by their parents:
13. CORPORAL DISCIPLINE POLICY:
When all other forms of discipline have not produce the desired change in behavior and attitude, corporal discipline (swats) may be administered. A maximum of five (5) consecutive correctly received swats upon the buttocks may be administered. Correctly received swats are those in which the student exhibits a submissive attitude, as determined by the administrator of the corporal discipline. This submissive attitude must be exhibited throughout the discipline session. A maximum of fifteen (15) swats of any kind, whether correctly received or incorrectly received, may be administered in a twenty-four hour period. The Superintendent or any other adult staff member (who is of the same gender as your child) that the Superintendent shall designate will administer the corporal discipline. A flat paddle is used to administer the corporal discipline. The student will remain clothed for the entire procedure. Each incident of corporal discipline will be duly witnessed by another adult staff member (of the same gender).

But all five of the swats must be “correctly received”, which means they have to remain in position and fully submit to their paddling. A swat that is not “correctly received” may be repeated. This means a single paddling, in which a young lady in unable to maintain her position, can quickly become a much longer paddling. Even if she is able to hold her position while her bottom is being paddled, this school is strict enough, that there is the possibility that she could be paddled up to two additional times in a single day. This certainly gives the school plenty of options, during any given 24 hour period, to properly bruise a teen girl’s bottom.
The policies below are from a private Christian school, in which no student can even be admitted if the parents will not commit to their child being paddled; it is as simple as that. What makes this school even more unique, is that the parent has to come to the school and do the paddling themselves. Below is the consent form and the specific rules governing the parent paddling their child at school:

Under no circumstance will any student be admitted, or re-registered in the L*** Baptist Academy without the completion of this form. It is an agreement that the parent will adhere to, and support the Corporal Punishment procedures of LBA.
I __________________________________, am agreeing with, and will uphold the procedures of LBA. I will be in full support of the administration. As a parent of, ____________________________, enrolled in LBA, I realize that it is a privilege and not a right. I understand that if at any time my child refuses to accept their punishment, or if I refuse to administer their punishment; my child will be expelled from LBA. If a student requires a spanking, the parent must complete it the next school day. The office will explain why a spanking is necessary and must be completed by the parent in the Principal’s Office. The student will not be allowed to attend class the following day until it has been issued.

This is indeed a very unique situation as we now have a school taking full control over how a student will be paddled and the parents now have to do it as the school is required. It is very clear, if the student will not submit to a paddling, or the parents refuse to administer it, the student is expelled from the school. Basically, a student gets in trouble and a parent has to go to the school the next day and paddle her. This young lady is not only going to be paddled by her mom or dad, in front of a school administrator, but she has to submit to it 100%, or the paddling does not count. The girl being paddled is not really even allowed to make any noise, or move in any way during her paddling. This is the 1st school policy I have ever read in which is a girl does not cooperate completely during the process of having her bottom paddled, then the paddling will just continue. But beyond the young lady having to cooperate 100%, the school actually gets to decide how hard she is to be paddled be her parent. It clearly states that the swats have to be administered “to the satisfaction of the designee”, which can only mean that if you do not paddle your daughter hard enough, you will have to do it again.

This policy really has a way of modifying a policy of 5 maximum swats, and basically assures that the school gets to make sure that the paddling a student receives is a very memorable one. Picture the young lady at this very strict religious school, sent to the office for a basic infraction. Being that just about every offense I looked at in the student handbook will result in a paddling, this means that any trip to the office means she will be paddled. She is given a corporal punishment form and told to take it home. The next morning, she arrives at school with mom or dad, and waits nervously with her parent, as the school finds a designee to oversee her paddling. The three of them go into the room where paddlings take place, and under the direction of the school designee, she is put into position and her parent is handed a heavy wooden school paddle. The parent is then told how many swats to give their child, and she is reminded that she has to remain in position, and fully accept everything that she is about to receive. Her mom then takes the paddle in her hand and applies the 1st swat to her daughter’s bottom. It is at this point that the school official gets to make the decision as to whether she accepted the swat properly. If she moved, made too much noise, stood up, or even “wiggled”, the school official can inform the parent and the student that the swat did not count. Picture the young lady who is still spanked severely by her dad at home, and he always has to hold her in place during her punishment. This is a whole new world for her, having to not only fully submit to her punishment, but to cooperate. Being smacked hard on the bottom hurts a lot, especially for a teenage girl, and it is quite hard not to make much sound during a proper paddling. But this paddling, at this school, will not end until she learns to do exactly that. The five swat paddling she had coming, might have turned into a ten, or even twenty swat paddling, until she learns to properly submit.

as having been hard enough. The five swats, that she struggles with a few of, became eight swats before it was all over. But when it was completed, the school official has the power to tell the parent that the paddling was nowhere near hard enough. Remember, this is a very religious school, which believes very strongly in “Biblical discipline”, which rarely involves an ornamental paddling. These are the types of schools that believe that a proper spanking involves breaking the will of the child. So after her eight swats, three of which she struggled with and was unable to properly submit, she hears the school designee tell her mom that the paddling was nowhere near hard enough and that it has to be repeated. At this point the entire process starts all over again, and with the swats being much harder this time around, there is a good chance that she will struggle with most of them, thus requiring them to be repeated. Basically, this paddling will not be over until the school administrator has made sure that the young lady being paddled leaves with a very sore and bruised bottom and having learned a very real lesson.
This is a very unique situation, but in reality, most paddlings in private school are administered by a principal, administrator, or a teacher. The primary differences in paddlings administered in the public school and private school tend to be frequency and severity. These differences exist mostly because of parental support for corporal punishment. Parents that seek out a private Christian school, deeply rooted in the teachings of the Bible, typically do not oppose the use of corporal punishment. In fact, most of them frequently use corporal punishment in the raising of their daughters, in their own home. They actively seek out an educational environment that is a good extension as to their personal beliefs. There is an expectation that if their child misbehaves at school, that they will be punished as set forth in the Bible. This really frees up a school from all of the concerns of lawsuits and protests from parents about a girl being paddled. It also allows a school to paddle in a way that is much more effective in changing behavior.
In a public school setting, a teen girl, after getting paddled at school, might come home and show her mom her bruised butt, complaining that she was paddled at school and that it was far too hard. Her mom then gets on the phone, calls the press, calls the school, and begins the kind of uproar that we see regularly on the news. This is not the case when it comes to a paddling administered at a private Christian school. A girl that is sent home from school after a hard paddling, with a bruised bottom, is more likely to get it again at home from her parents. Strict Christian parents see a bruised bottom from getting in trouble at school, as a good starting place for a session with dad’s belt. They see it as an opportunity for some real learning to take place and are more than willing to make sure that her bottom feels much more in the way of discipline.

increased. A typical public school policy will state “corporal punishment will only be used when other methods of discipline have proven to be ineffective”. This means that after a student has had a few detentions, and maybe some ISS, that eventually her bottom might be paddled. But in a private school, a young lady’s first trip to the office, and every trip after that, will result in her bottom being paddled. They tend to take the opposite approach in that after she was paddled once, on her second offense she is paddled again, and also receives detention. The one common thread is that if she gets in any trouble, big or small, her bottom will pay the price.
Think of the first school policy that I mentioned above, in which a student cannot receive more than 5 licks at a time, with a maximum of 15 in a 24 hour period. This means that at some point in time, those in charge of the school’s policy, needed to come up with a policy that allowed a student to be paddled as many as 3 times a day. This school is a school in which the students live there full-time, which allows flexibility for paddlings outside of classroom hours. In a public school setting a girl who misbehaves frequently, might find herself paddled a few times over a typical school year. But it is clear from this school’s policies, that she might find herself paddled every day, if not more often than that. They clearly believe that a bruised bottom is an effective learning tool and they do not hesitate to provide it as often as is needed. Just take a look at the very 1st line of the contract that the parent must sign when enrolling their student at this institution:
I/We understand that the structure and rules under which my/our child will be educated and trained are very strict.
Corner time still happens in private Christian schools.
Simply the inclusion of the word “trained” makes it clear that some butts are going to end up very sore and the methods they use are not just strict, they are “very strict”. But for additional perspective, let’s take quick look at the “demerits” system. Having gone through their complete student and parent handbooks, it is quite clear that just about every offense that results in a “demerit” will result in a five swat paddling. Below is the policy for a student that had 10 demerits in a week. This is a list of the additional punishment a student will face after a week consisting of 10 demerits, which results in them being placed “on discipline” for the next week. It is clearly common enough that there is an entire policy of additional punishment that will last for an entire week. But what we really need to consider, is that to have been placed “on discipline” that means 10 demerits. Being that a single demerit results in a five swat paddling, this means every student who is “on discipline” typically received at least 50 paddle swats the week before. That is also assuming that the 50+ swats they were administered were “correctly received”. The 5 swat paddling could have easily resulted in as many as 15 if she did not submit properly to her paddling. And if you think that corner time is something for toddlers, or only exists in British spanking videos, think again. Look at the fourth option for a young lady who is “on discipline” for the week. She is to stand in her dorm room, with her nose touching the bed for a period of one hour. What is even more interesting is that there is a 10 minute “sit down break each hour”. This would lead me to believe that corner time can last well beyond the initial hour, if there are hourly breaks. I am also guessing that a girl “on discipline” and in corner time for a few hours, that does not maintain her position, will probably be getting her bottom paddled as well. They are also clear in stating that when a student is “on discipline” that all of the things stated below, “will be included”, not “may be included”.
If the student has more than ten (10) demerits in a week then she is placed on discipline for the following week. This discipline will include:
- Loss of desserts and seconds during meals
- Loss of all extra-curricular activities including but not limited to field trips, basketball, volleyball, tennis racquetball, baseball, Ping-Pong, pool, foosball, and swimming.
- Various forms of physical training which include but are not limited to the following: jumping jacks, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, hops, leg lifts, crawls, running, carrying cinder blocks, or all of the above.
- Standing with your child’s nose touching the end of your child’s bed for a time period of 1 hour with a 10-minute sit-down break each hour. This is excluding any regularly scheduled activities and school time.
- An altered menu of bland foods will be issued at the discretion of the staff in conjunction with the above referenced discipline measures.
So if you ever find yourself wondering is corporal punishment is alive and well in the US school system, there is no doubt it is more than a common occurrence. The paddling she received at school hurt a lot, but she did have the benefit of the school uniform to help her endure it. At the high school she attended, the school policy for tardies was very clear, 2 tardies were allowed for any one class over the course of a semester, on a third tardy, it was an automatic referral to the office. As a school in which the primary form of discipline for minor offenses was a paddling, most students knew that three tardies would equal three swats to their bottom. Amy had never been in any trouble before at school, so when she found herself in the office, during her senior year, for tardies, she was given what the principal called a suspended sentence. As long as he did not see her in his office again, her 1st referral would never make it to her file, nor would she be punished for it.
During her last semester as a senior, she was perpetually late to a class in which everyone knew the teacher was a bit of a pushover, and rarely did she ever send anyone to the office. Amy came into this class late on a regular basis, but never more than a minute or two. She knew she had gone over the three tardy mark, but she did not think the teacher cared, much less even noticed or kept track. She realized one day, that the teacher did indeed keep track, when as she walked in late, before she was able to sit down the teacher called her over to her desk. The teacher pulled out a disciplinary referral and filled in all of the required boxes and lines. In the section for “reason for referral” she wrote “6 tardies, one semester”, and then underlined “6 tardies” twice with a red sharpie.
Amy’s walk to the office was a slow one as she was quite nervous. When she had sat in his office, during the previous semester, she had been quite nervous. While she had never been paddled at school before, she had been spanked by her mom when she was a little girl. She was six or seven the last time she had been spanked at home, but she still remembered how much she hated it. Her mom only ever gave her 5-6 smacks with a wooden spoon over her panties, but she always cried. When she has previously sat before him, all she could see was the wooden paddle the hung on the wall next to his desk. Her friends that had been paddled at school before, had told her how much it hurt, so she was quite relieved when he let her off with a suspended sentence.
She walked into the main office doors and handed her referral to the secretary. She was told to have a seat as the secretary walked the referral into the principal’s office. Her heart raced as she considered three hard swats to her bottom with that wooden paddle. After several minutes he called her into his office and she sat down in a chair in front of his desk. She watched as he pulled her file and flipped through it. He pulled out the previous referral, where she saw her signature next to where he had written, “3 swats, suspended sentence”. He then looked over the new referral and spent a minute studying her grades, her school schedule, and studied the current courses she was taking. With the exception of the words “have a seat” he still had not said anything to him.
When he finally spoke, he explained to her that they had a little problem. He informed her that school policy did not allow more than three swats for any given offense, and clearly she was facing more. Her heart began to pound even harder and her eyes went back to the paddle on the wall. It was not a huge paddle, but it was certainly much bigger than the spoon her mom used to spank her with, and she had learned to fear that spoon. He calmly explained that he needed to take care of the suspended sentence, so she had three “licks” coming for that. He further explained that she had an additional three licks coming for each of the three tardies. He told her that he would rather just give her all nine in a row, as he hated for a student to miss more class than was needed, but that he did not have that option. She thought her heart might explode as she realized this trip to his office could result in more than the three swats. She thought that the suspended sentence had meant the next time she was sent up for tardies that she would receive the three she was owed, she had not considered this new math and the number of swats she was now facing.
He told her that policy required that they deal with each offense individually, and there had to be a gap in between for them to be considered three separate paddlings. He told her that she would receive three now, then be sent back out to the main office, and then he would call her back in, two different times. He apologized that she would have to miss the rest of this class, and the one following it, but he did not see any other way to resolve it. He promised that they would be done in time for her to make it to lunch. Her brain was overloaded as she processed this information and she just wanted to cry. She was not sure how she would handle a single paddle swat, much less nine over the next ninety minutes. He pointed to another chair in his office against the back wall, and told her to move over to that chair and to bend over and place her hands on the seat.

She had somehow expected more of a process or a delay, but it was as simple as that. He had decided that she was going to be paddled, and she had no say in it. She was not offered an option, her parents were not contacted, and even at the age of 18, she had no say in the matter. It struck her as odd, that as a legal adult, this man had the power to tell her to bend over so he could spank her ass with a paddle. With the sweat beginning to form on her face, she stood up, walked over to the chair, and bent over and put her hands on the chair. This was a far different experience than the spankings she had gotten from her mom. Her mom would grab the spoon, yank down her pants, and then start the spanking. Being that any moment this man would be spanking her, she felt doing what she was told was the best bet. After a few minutes, she watched him reach up and grab the paddle off the hook on the wall, and he then stepped into place behind her. After the third swat, she was actively crying and he walked back to his desk. She was not sure what to do, as he had not said anything yet, so she stayed in place, her bottom aching, and vision blurred. He called her back to his desk, and slid a corporal punishment report in front of her and told her to sign it. She could barely read it through her tears and just scribbled her name on the line he had pointed to. He handed her a single tissue and then told her to go back out to the chairs in the office and let her bottom “cool off”. She dabbed her eyes with the tissue and rubbed her bottom as she walked out to the chairs and gently had a seat. She could not believe how much it had hurt and her bottom was throbbing like crazy. She continued to wipe her eyes and feel sorry for herself; with her entire being focused on the pain her bottom was feeling. For a minute or so, she was living in her own little painful world, just wanting the pain to go away. It took her a minute or so, to fully realize her surroundings. When she finally looked around the room, she noticed how many eyes were on her. She had not considered that every student and staff member in the office had just heard every swat being applied to her bottom. The student aids who worked in the office were staring at her, as was just about everyone else present. She had sat there in that chair, crying and rubbing her bottom like a little girl, and had not even noticed that she had an audience. Now that was all she was noticing and she was very embarrassed. She dried her eyes more and tried to suck it up, but her butt just hurt so badly.
She began to control her breathing as the initial sting from the paddling settled a little. The burning sensation was slowly being replaced with a throbbing of the muscles in her bottom. She was surprised as that pain did not seem to go away, but continued to build. There had been a slight numbness that was leaving her body and it the pain was getting worse. She sat at that chair, still aware of the occasion person looking at her and she was quite embarrassed. Here she was, an 18 year old girl, old enough to vote, old enough to join the military, and here she sat in the school office with a sore bottom, waiting to be spanked again. After 30 minutes, his door opened again and she was called into his office.

He told her to stand up and approach the wall, not the chair. He instructed her to step a little farther back, bend over, and extend her arms until they were touching the wall. She did as she was told and felt even more vulnerable than before. She was not sure why she was being paddled in a different position, but once again, it was not up to her. Just as before, she stayed in position while he filled out a new corporal punishment form. Just the thought of that paddle hitting her already sore bottom, caused her eyes to begin to fill with tears.

After the form was complete, the process started all over again. He grabbed the paddle and stepped up behind her and she felt it touch her bottom. She gritted her teeth just in time to feel the 1st swat. This swat made the previous three seem playful. Her butt was already so sore and throbbing, that she instantly screamed out in pain and began to cry very hard. The next swat landed in the same spot as the previous one and she thought she might faint from the pain. In just an instance, the next swat landed, and it was all over. She was left bent over, hands on the wall as he walked back to his desk and sat down. He added the date and the time of the paddling to the piece of paper, and asked her to once again join him. She could not stop crying at this point and wandered to his desk in a daze. He had her sign this new form, gave her a single tissue, and told her to go back out to the chairs, and that they would finish up soon.
Just as before, she was still crying hard as she left his office, and every eye in the room was on her. She sat down gingerly on the chair, buried her face in her hands, and cried for several minutes. She could not believe this was happening to her and she could not believe how much her bottom hurt. She knew there was no way she could go through this a third time, her butt has already had way too much. She was far too embarrassed, to be sitting there like a crying little girl to even look up. She knew everyone was looking, she wanted to be strong like it was no big deal, but that was not possible at the moment. It took her a good ten minutes to get herself together. While she was now slightly composed, her bottom was not doing any better. The slight numbness was leaving her body and with every beat of her heart her butt pulsated. Even with the padded seat of the chair was in, she was starting to shift around trying to find a position that did not hurt as much. The problem was, he kept smacking the same spot on her bottom, and that was the part that touched the chair. No matter how much she wiggled and squirmed, she just could not get comfortable.
Once again, 30 minutes passed, and she knew that she was moments from the final set of licks. She reached back and rubbed her bottom a little and it was so very sore to the touch. She wondered how she would get through the next three, and found herself looking at the door out of the main office, thinking about an escape. Just as she was beginning to convince herself to run, his door opened and she was called back in. She walked slowly to his office, like she was approaching a firing squad. She was told to sit down, one last time, and she did so hesitantly. He saw the discomfort as she attempted to sit and he smiled. He told her that this was exactly what they wanted. He explained that the difficulty she was experiencing when sitting was demonstrated that she was learning. He told her it might seem a little rough at the moment, but the paddlings she received today would indeed assure that she always gets to class on time. He apologized to her for not paddling her the first time she was in his office, as he knows if he had, they would not be having this conversation at the moment.

He told her to stand up, move back towards the wall, and to bend over and grab her ankles. She did not like the sound of this at all, but she did as she was told. He told her to widen her stance and to straighten her legs, which she did. He started on a new form while she waited with her bottom in the air. He eventually stood up, walked towards her, and then his phone rang. He set the paddle on the desk, and took the phone call. She stayed in that position, grabbing her ankles, with her throbbing butt in the air for close to four minutes. She listened as he discussed some administrative detail regarding paper and supplies for the computer lab. She wanted to scream at him, and tell him to get it over with, even though she never wanted to feel that paddle ever again in her life. The phone call eventually ended and he was right back to business.

The paddle touched her bottom and the tears began before she felt the 1st swat. It hit the same poor spot on her bottom that felt like it was broken at this point. Even after six previous swats, this was not getting easier for her, it was getting harder. The pain jolted her so much; she jumped up a little and started to grab her bottom. Her knees buckled and she was already crying like a 3 year old in the middle of a temper tantrum. He told her to grab her ankles again and the next swat came. The sound echoed through the main office and the only thing louder was her reaction. The final swat was applied to her bottom and it was finally over. He sat, filled in the rest of the paperwork, and then called her over. He asked her to take a seat, but she declined. He told her it was not optional and to “sit her butt down”. She struggled with the pain as her bottom touched the seat. He had her once again sign the form and then asked her if they would be having any tardy issues even again. While still wiping away the tears she promised that he would never see her in this office again in her lifetime.

It started with a very public argument in the hallway, with dozens of students watching, which eventually led to both girls pushing each other. The whole incident was witnessed by a teacher and they were both taken to the principal’s office. The school code of conduct is very clear in stating that “any aggressive action towards another student” is forbidden and will also be treated in the same manner as if they had actually been in a fight. School policy calls for a three day in school suspension, or six swats with a paddle for this offense. The principal was especially disappointed with Kiki, as she is a cheerleader, and therefore a representative of the school.

When Kiki was given her punishment options, she immediately chose the in school suspension. Her last spanking had been at the hands of her dad, when she was 11, and she still remembered it to this day. Her dad had worn her tiny little butt out with his belt and she knew that she wanted nothing to do with getting spanked ever again. She had no idea that it would kill all her events of the day, which led her to start thinking about the paddling. She had only even known a couple of girls who had been paddled, but she did not think they were exaggerating when they spoke of how intensely it hurt. She thought about that last spanking from her dad and the terrible pain of the belt. He had made her bend over her bed and spanked her bottom hard enough, that he had to hold her in place to complete the punishment. She told him that she would do whatever was required to be able to go to the game. He explained that there was no “time served” and that she would still get the full six swats. She quickly replied, “Whatever I have to do to go to the game”. He had her stand up and took a look at her skirt. He decided that this was not an appropriate outfit for her to be paddled in and asked her if she had a change of clothes with her. She said that she did, so he told her to go to the locker room and to change into some jeans for her paddling. With her heart racing, she headed to the gym to change. The whole time in her head, all she could hear were the words, “her paddling”. She thought of the wooden paddle, she thought of her dad’s belt, and she thought about her poor bottom.

She was very petite and that paddle looked like it would destroy her whole bottom with a single swat.

With the assistant present, she was made to remove the extra layer, and was then walked back to the ISS room. The assistant told her to stay there and that the principal would be right back with her. She was left with contemplating how much more the last four were going to hurt without the extra padding. Her bottom was already throbbing and she knew her butt was going to be sore for quite some time.

She certainly did not know how she would present a smile at the pep rally as she attempted their routines and stunts. There are still many states in the US in which a paddling may be administered by something other than a school administrator. Within these high schools, coaches and teachers that chose to handle the corporal punishment themselves are allowed to. They still have to follow the same school guidelines as the administrators, but they are free to paddle students when they feel it is required. Within every school in which the teachers are allowed to paddle, there are those one or two teachers that have a reputation as the hardest hitting paddlers in the school.

This will typically be the classroom in the school in which the students are the best behaved and create the least amount of distractions during class. Tardies are typically also much lower in a class with a hard paddling teacher. It is not that this teacher is meaner than the rest of the teachers, it just means that this is a teacher that decided a long time ago, that they are going to utilize every free moment in class to teach, and anything that distracts from the process, needs to be eliminated.
By being a teacher that is known for hard paddling, he ends up paddling far less than the other teachers as his reputation is well known throughout the student body. Even incoming freshman have heard the stories of how he can really light a bottom on fire, even if they have not been present on occasion when it takes place. He is strict and uncompromising in all aspects of the discipline he administers. It does not matter to him if it is a male or female student, a freshman or a senior, or for a small offense or a large offense. If there is a situation that needs to be dealt with via a paddling, he simply gets the job done to the very best of his ability.

I write often about the long term effectiveness of a school paddling. By effectiveness, we are talking about how bruised and sore a high school girl’s bottom ends up being. While it is easy to get caught up in the fantasy of an 18 year old girl being paddled at school, how sore does she really end up being, and how much a deterrent does that really provide?

In all honesty, schools have fairly strict regulations as to how a girl can be paddled. The paddle size is generally specified on the district regulations, and while they are often big, they are not giant. How many swats that can be applied are also specified, with the range typically being from one to six, with some school going as high as ten. I think most administrators and principals tend to swing pretty close to full force, especially when we are talking about high school age students. While they swing very hard, very rarely is a two handed swing used, or some sort of step into the swing.

So where does this actually leave us in terms of effectiveness? When a teen girl, in tight jeans, is made to bend over and take six hard swats to her pants and panty covered bottom, is there learning that takes place after the paddling? Clearly, I think that a school corporal punishment should be applied hard enough to make a real impression on a young lady, but I am fair in the fact that the punishment should fit the crime. If it is a 1st time offense, that is a small infraction within the school code of conduct, a few swift swats with a paddle should do the trick. Obviously, if that infraction is repeated, then more severe consequences are called for. If a few moderate swats with the paddle did not get the job done, then clearly the level of severity needs to be raised significantly.

But for those severe infractions, like bullying, fighting, and alcohol and drug related issues, from the very beginning, the paddling needs to be administered at a level in which very real learning takes place through the seat of her pants. I think if the paddling is administered in a safe manner, there is no such thing as too hard when dealing with severe offenses. Many schools have limitations on the number of swats that can be applied, so each one really needs to count. In addition, I think in order for there to really be long term benefits, each paddle swat needs to be applied in the exact same spot. There is no reason to make all of her bottom a little sore, if it possible to make part of her bottom extremely sore. The focus should always be on the lowest part of her bottom, on the exact spot that touches the seat when she sits down. Both at home, but especially in the school environment, a young lady spend the majority of her day sitting. In school, she will spend close to eight hours a day at a desk, which is rarely padded in a public school environment. This gives the administrator the added benefit of her punishment continuing for at least eight hours a day. This is quite the bonus when trying to teach a young lady a lesson, especially since most school paddlings are over with in less than a minute. A one minute punishment is hardly a deterrent, regardless of the amount of sting she experiences during it. But an eight hour punishment, for three consecutive days, starts to really address the problem.

But how long should her bottom remain sore in all fairness? I think leaving her bottom sore for as long as possible should always be the goal. If her bottom being sore for a day helps to teach her a lesson, then more days are even better. The more time she has to struggle to sit down, the more time she is focused on what she did wrong. Her infraction does not quickly become a distant memory, if she is still wiggling in her seat, trying to find a way to sit that doesn’t hurt…three days later. If her bottom is paddled long enough and hard enough that she is still struggling to sit a week later, all the better. If she has to try and cover up in the locker room, so none of the other girls see her bruised butt, then that is yet another added bonus. Teen girls will go far out of their way to avoid being embarrassed in front of their peer group, and very few girls want to admit that they were spanked at school. A bruised and sore bottom might seem excessive to some, but when it comes to educating a young lady through the use of corporal punishment, a bruised bottom has its place.
Miss Abigail, a well behaved student who never gets into trouble, decided to push the boundaries on the last day of school by breaking the school policy and wearing shorts. So when taking a look at the recent statistics on school corporal punishment in the US, as reported by the Department of Education in recent years, they show that 223,190 students were paddled at school during a single school year. I would have to guess that this number is very conservative, as in the more rural areas, especially in the ones in which the teachers and coaches are also allowed to paddle students, that 75% of the paddlings are undocumented. This could easily bring the numbers to well over 500,000 students paddled, but I will use a conservative number and go with 350,000 students.
So if we want to question how often a school paddling really takes place, we need to crunch the numbers. The average school, not including weekend and holidays, has 180 days in its school year. The average school day, as far as time that the students are in class, is 6.7 hours a day. If you do the math, that gives us an average of 1944 school paddlings a day in the US. If looked at more closely, this is around 290 school paddling every hour, or about one every 12 seconds. This means that in the time it took you to read to this point right here, at least two school paddlings were administered to the bottom of a student.
So while there are many posts on the internet about school paddling that are clearly someone’s fantasy, you must remember that a school paddling, actually taking place in the US schools every 12 seconds, is very much the reality. At this very moment, as you read these very words, somewhere in America there is a teen girl, standing up from her chair in the principal’s office, being told to bend over and grab her ankles. She has no say in the matter, not only is this allowed at this school, but her parents signed a form authorizing it. This principal is not worried about lawsuits, or angry parents, as this community embraces corporal punishment. His only concern is paddling her bottom hard enough to make sure that she never commits the offense again. This is a school in which corporal punishment is the primary form of discipline and it is used not only liberally, but severely. This punishment will be documented and she will be part of the statistics.

But in reality, when teachers are allowed to paddle students, this does not take place in such an official manner. A teacher, finally fed up with a student’s disruptions in class, grabs her paddle from her filing cabinet and invites the student out into the hall. There is no long discussion, there is no formal paperwork, and there is simply a teacher that has decided to teach a student that once and for all, she needs to stop being such a nuisance in class. This teacher’s only concern is making sure that this student and all the others who are about to hear it, know to get their acts together. When it comes to a school paddling, there is really no position that is as great as when the young lady has to grab her ankles. There are certainly many positions that a school administrator has to choose from, but making her grab her ankles is far superior for so many reasons. No girl has ever learned anything from a paddling that does not hurt, it is simply not a deterrent. However, the more pain that is achieved, the greater the deterrent in the long run. If the goal is to extinguish a behavior permanently, then as much pain that can safely be applied to her bottom, the better. Now if by utilizing a position that can further help to increase the pain her bottom feels, I say it should be used every time.

Most importantly, the use of this position can really help convince a student that she never again in her life wants to receive another school paddling. With women’s volleyball, both their practice outfits and game uniforms are as tiny as can be.

This is best measured by having a young lady kneel and measuring the distance from the ground to the bottom of her skirt. This makes it easier for there to be a standard that can be used with every girl. In many schools in which the students have to wear a uniform, any uniform infraction is an automatic paddling for the offending girl.

In public schools the dress code policy varies depending on the school. Many schools allow students to wear shorts, but the short shorts are not allowed. Another common dress code policy is one that does not allow students to wear a shirt that shows any midriff. Many teen girls love to show off their flat little bellies to the boys, but this tends to be a distraction. Guys have enough difficulty focusing on their studies and do not need to see the hot girls sitting in class in their little belly shirts. Because dress code violations tend to be frequent, many schools have a zero tolerance policy regarding it. In all cases the young lady will be sent home to change, which will require her parents to be notified, but there is typically an additional punishment that goes along with it. I know if a school in Oklahoma in which the 1st dress code violation is 3 licks with the paddle, the 2nd is 6 licks, and the third violation is the maximum punishment of 10 licks. Any additional violations require a 10 lick paddling and a three day suspension.

the belly shirts and short shorts, guys are easily distracted. Allowing a young lady to prance down the hall with her perfect teen breasts bouncing as she walks, is just asking for trouble. The guys will whistle and stare and it will just attract too much attention that is not needed in a learning environment. It is hard to enforce as many young women have perky breasts and unless the nipple is visible through the shirt it might be hard to tell if she is wearing a bra or not. This often leads to a student being sent to a female administrator to check and see if she has the proper undergarments on. This same situation applies to the wearing of panties. No girl is ever going to get called out for no panties if she is wearing pants, however, in the spring when it is common for girls to wear shorter skirts, no panties can become an issue. The leg room under a desk is tight and it is hard for a young lady to cross her legs when sitting down in a classroom. Many young men have “accidentally” dropped their pen so they can get a peek under a young lady’s skirt. When she is not wearing panties, this can indeed cause a disruption in the classroom environment. This is also an issue when it comes to the low cut jeans that high school girls wear. Panties are often visible in these pants, but lack of panties tends to show more than intended. When a girl is sitting in her seat in a classroom, with no panties and low cut jeans, the top of her butt crack is often visible.
Some teachers crack down harder than others on dress code violations and some send multiple students a day to the office for dress code violations. There are many female administrators who have grown sick and tired of the frequent and flagrant dress code violations they deal with on a daily basis. Over the years they have learned that the most effective way of decreasing the chance of repeat violations from the same girls is to give their bottoms a very hard paddling that will make them think twice as they dress for school each morning.

Picture the female vice principal who has to deal with the girls who want to push the boundaries on what they wear to school. She gets a call from the secretary telling her that there are two girls waiting to see her, both from the same class, both for dress code violations. She calls the 1st girl into her office and has her take a seat. She looks on the pink slip and sees that it is suspected that

the girl is not wearing a bra. She knows from experience that it does no good to ask the girl if she is wearing a bra or not as they always lie and tell her yes. She simply asks the girl to raise her shirt and to show her that she is wearing a bra. The girl is a little embarrassed, but there are no men present so she does as instructed. As expected, when the shirt is raised, there is no bra, just her bare teen breasts. This administrator is conservative and old school so she finds it as a reflection of today’s society and teen girl’s in general. In her day, she would have never gone to school without wearing a bra, so she sees it as her personal duty to help these young ladies get their heads on straight. For her, a girl sitting in her office with no bra represents what is wrong with the school so she works hard to correct that problem. The young lady is caught off guard as the only words spoken after she bares her breasts are “10 hard swats with the paddle for no bra”. She honestly thought she might get a day of detention and have to go home and put on a bra, but no such luck with this administrator.

is also now questioning her decision to not wear panties, as she could really use a little more protection for her bottom right now. Before she has time to fully process that thought, the 1st swat hits her bottom. She is shocked by the pain and immediately reaches for her bottom. She is told to stay in position and that they will have to repeat her 1st swat, as it no longer counts. She puts her hand back on the desk and gets her first swat…again. It lands in the same spot and she starts to really feel the burn. She considers herself quite tough, but she has not been spanked since she was 10 or 11 and it never hurt quite this bad. She braces for the next one and when it hits her eyes begin to water. She cannot believe that she is getting her butt spanked at school and that she is actually going to cry. The next one comes and the tears really begin to flow. One after another the rest of the swats with the heavy wooden paddle are applied to her teen butt and she is crying before it is all over.

Unlike the girl who was just paddled, she has never been spanked in her life, and as she has a seat in the VP’s office, all she can see is the paddle lying on the desk. Unfortunately, the VP is quite agitated at this point as she is seeing this girl for the exact same violation. She tells her to lift her shirt and show her bra. The girl tells her that she is not wearing a bra, but this does not matter to the VP, she feels she might as well add a little embarrassment to the whole ordeal. She tells her to lift her shirt anyway and to show her. The girl does as she is instructed,

She makes her keep her shirt up and begins to lecture her on not wearing a bra as well as the stupid decision she seems to have made by deciding to put jewelry in her nipples. She tells the girl that she is damn lucky that pierced nipples in not a dress code violation and she would love to paddle her bottom for such silliness as well. She informs this student that a bra is required to be worn to school, as spelled out very clearly in the student handbook. She tells her that while it might seem like a small offense to the student body, that she sees it as a growing problem and that as a result she will get “10 very hard swats on her bottom”, the maximum that she is allowed to administer. She is told to stand up, bend over the desk, and to present her bottom to be paddled.

From the sounds that she heard from the other side of the door a few minutes before, and the look on the girl’s face as she left the office, she knew that it was going to be bad. The VP stood up, grabbed the paddle off of her desk, and approached the student from behind. She then said to the student “I am going to give you ten swats for your dress code violation and they are going to be hard ones, because you and I both know we are dealing with a couple of issues here”. She flinched as the paddle lightly touched her bottom, she felt it left her bottom for a moment, as she clinched every muscle in her body, and gripped the edge of the desk, and then she felt it….pain. It quickly became apparent to her why parents and school use spanking as a form of punishment, this hurt a lot. Her bottom was set on fire and she started to cry, after just the 1st swat. One after another her bottom was paddled hard and fast and she was almost breathless from the pain. That wooden paddle was tearing her bottom up and it took every ounce of energy to stay still for the duration. All 10 swats were administered in less than 15 seconds and when it was over she was crying very hard and just stood there rubbing her throbbing bottom. The VP told her to go home for the day and to return to school the next day with a bra and maybe a little more respect for her body. With tears in her eyes, and still actively rubbing her bottom, she walked from the VP’s office into the main office area. Every eye in the office was on her as she walked out, tears streaming down her face, and with her makeup smeared down her cheeks.
It is an injustice to the teen girl to not paddle her bottom in the most effective manner possible. The whole purpose of a school paddling is to provide a negative stimulus so as to reduce the chance of misbehavior in the future. When utilizing corporal punishment, the negative stimulus is pain. A little bit of pain to her bottom does very little good. If a young lady is paddled and it only hurts a little bit, the chances or her getting in trouble again are quite high. This is really not fair to the girl getting her bottom paddled. A paddling is a punishment, but it also serves to help guide her to make good decisions in her life. When she is a teen girl, the bad decisions she makes are often not all that harmful, but as she gets older, bad decisions can have far higher consequences. It is the job of the person tasked with the job of administering discipline to do so in a way that changes her behavior, before it is too late.

It may be hard for some administrators to apply the paddling that is required. After all, we may just be talking about a 17 year old girl, 100 lbs., with a tiny teen butt. Her offense may not even be all that major in the grand scope of things. But it is often the little infractions, which build to become bigger infractions. If she grows used to getting away with the small things, it is a natural progression for her to push the boundaries in life. This progression outside of school can lead to jail, DUI’s, and even worse. Administrators need to take advantage of the situations as they present themselves and stop bad behavior on the spot. This is exactly why when that tiny teen bottom is bent over before him, even for something as simple as tardies, he needs to make a real difference in her life.

that rules exist for a reason. She also needs to know that breaking the rules, however small, will lead to her receiving discipline. After all, is 30 minutes of detention after school really that much of a deterrent? On that same note, are three gentle swats with a wooden paddle that much of a deterrent? A school paddling is something that has been earned. It is her actions that have led to this event taking place in the 1st place. All schools have very clear and concise rules spelled out and every student knows when they are breaking them. It is not an accident; it is a conscious choice to misbehave. It is the duty of the person tasked with disciplinary issues as a school to do their very best when handling such problems. As a result, administrators who go easy during a school paddling are not doing the young lady any favors. In fact, it is the exact opposite and it is a disservice to the student being paddled. A young lady who walks away from her paddling thinking “that was not so bad”, learns nothing.
The perfect school paddle for bruising a teen bottom
A school administrator, who has the best interest in mind of the students in his school, needs to suck it up and be strict. When he is choosing the type of paddle to have the shop teacher build for him, he needs to choose a hardwood. Why use pine when he can have an oak paddle? He should not go with the smallest dimensions as possible; he needs the biggest paddle the school will allow. Yes, a ½” paddle stings a bottom pretty good, but ¾” leaves much longer lasting impression. He should also choose a paddle that has holes in it. First of all, a paddle with holes is much more intimidating to the young lady it is about to be used on. In addition, it helps the paddle hit more forcefully as there is less air to displace as it strikes her bottom. A paddle with holes will also compress the skin slightly into the holes, and help with bruising.
Remember, we are talking about creating an experience that was not only very uncomfortable for the student, but one that she never again in her life wants repeated. It may seem a little unfair, or even cruel, but it is crueler to have a young lady that is not afraid to get in trouble as she can handle the consequences. We do not want her to be able to handle the consequences; we want her to fear them. Everything that can be done to make it a far worse experience the better it is for her. Besides using the most severe paddle as possible, there are so many other factors that can make her paddling worse. She should not be allowed to just bend over the desk and hold on; she should be made to grab her ankles. This pulls all of the muscles tight in her bottom, bringing them close to the surface. The closer the muscles are to the surface, and the tighter her bottom is stretched, the more pain she will feel. Once again, as with the paddle with holes, this will help with bruising.

Typically when people speak about something helping with bruising, they are referring to decreasing it, or making it go away quicker, this is not the case when it comes to a school paddling. A proper paddling, meant to teach a very real lesson, should be administered in a way to increase bruising. We do not want a young lady who gets a few pops to her butt, it goes a little numb, and then the experience is over for her. A proper paddling is done in a manner for it to not only hurt as much as physically and safely possible, but done so with the intention of making it sore for days, if not a week. There is a direct correlation between the amount of bruising and the amount of soreness she experiences. There is also a direct correlation between maximum soreness and learning. A bruised bottom equals results; it is as simple as that. There is no reason for a student to go home with a pink bottom when black and blue is an option. Not only will her bottom be almost too sore to sit for days, but it serves as a visual reminder for her. While the soreness might go away after 5-7 days, her bottom will be marked for up to two weeks. Every time she gets out of the shower and looks at her tight teen bottom in the mirror, there will indeed be a reminder for her of her previous behavior. This can also serve as a source of embarrassment in the school locker room and others see the results of her actions.
Even with a large paddle, he does not go easy. Notice that the paddle starts high in the air, he swings using his hips as well, his arm fully commits, and he even uses his wrist at the end for even more force. This si the type of paddle swat that teaches a real lesson.

maybe just the lower part of his arm. Yes, this will sting her little butt, he might even be able to get a couple of tears out of her, but once again, this would not be fair for her. If he really has her best interests in mind, that paddle will be lifted high in the air for each and every swat. He will not go easy at 1st and end with a few hard ones, tears should be the goal from the very 1st swat. When that paddle hits her bottom, she should be lifted onto her toes, with the sounds of both the paddle hitting her bottom and her reaction to it, should echo throughout the building. She should be in tears after just the 1st paddle swat on her bottom. Her bottom should be swelling and the bruises already forming. She should be thinking in her mind, after just one, that she will never misbehave again. The pain should be overwhelming, more than she can ever recall feeling. After just that one swat, she should have been taught the lesson of her life. We now have real learning taking place and have a situation that she will never again in her young life want to repeat. This is the reactions we want. This is giving her not only what she has earned, but what she deserves. He is now helping her with her life and helping her with becoming a productive and well behaved citizen. Her butt is bruised, throbbing, and she is crying uncontrollably, now for the nine swats.
I have discussed at length that a young lady’s bottom can indeed get sorer with time following her school paddling. Today I am lucky to have some pictures that show the progression of a teen girl’s bottom after a paddling. Take a look at the 1st two photos below and you can see what her butt looks like just an hour after a hard school paddling with a wooden paddle. The pictures show that the redness has begun to fade and you can see just a small amount of bruising starting to form.

The next pictures, taken the following morning show that her butt has really started to form the bruises. You can see the spots where the paddle made the most impact, as well as additional bruising from the sort of wave of skin being compressed from the paddle, even spots that the paddle did not make contact with have begun to show signs of bruising and soreness. There is no doubt when looking at the two pictures below that her bottom must be quite a bit more sore than it was the night before. This is all part of the learning process as a young lady wakes up to go to school.

The final pictures are from 3 full days after the paddling and the bruises have completely formed. It is clear that this is a very sore bottom. More than 72 hours after she was paddled the full effects of her punishment have really set in. These are not just visual reminders of her behavior, but very painful physical reminders as well. The bruising covers much of her bottom, but the majority of it is concentrated on the lower portions. Imagine that bottom, at school, at a hard wood desk, trying to get through her day. There is not a second spent, in any class, in which she would not be feeling discomfort. The best part is, she knows why her bottom is sore, she knows her behavior causes it, and hopefully she knows that she deserves it. Regardless of how she actually feels about the paddling she received, she knows for sure that she never wants her butt to feel this way ever again.

Sitting at school will be an issue today.
It was her 1st assistant principal at the high school level. She had come up as an elementary teacher and then eventually achieved her Master’s degree in education, which finally led to a VP job at a small middle school. After four years as a middle school vice principal she finally was offered the same position at a high school one county over. Her goal was to become the school’s principal so this was a good step for her. The middle school she came from, while in the same city, did not use corporal punishment. It was legal in the state, but each district set its own rules. As the female vice principal her primary duty was to deal with discipline issues for the 10th-12th girls. She knew coming in that corporal punishment was widely used in this school, but only the VP’s could administer it. She had no issues with corporal punishment; in fact all of her children had been spanked at some point in their lives. One thing she did know was that she was not very good at applying it. Her husband was the primary spanker in their home as she just did not seem to be very effective with it. She had found out that the previous female VP handled corporal punishment herself and used it very often.

She wanted to make her reputation from day one and certainly did not want to come across as soft. Her goal was to deal with discipline issues effectively and to reduce the amount of girls that found their way into her office. She knew that a paddling from her would not really make the impression that she was looking for so she explored her options. She looked into the details of the district’s corporal punishment policy and found that teachers were not allowed to apply corporal punishment in the classroom, but were not completely restricted from its use. A teacher could paddle a student in the presence of a school administrator. She asked around and no one could recall this ever happening as both the male and the female VPs had always handled the paddling of students. Something else that she discovered in the policy was that it was not mandatory for a female administrator to paddle a female student, but instead a “same sex witness” was required if a member of the opposite sex was being paddled. Armed with this new information, she formulated a plan.

She approached the male baseball coach, as he was as big an intimidating of a teacher as there was on campus. She explained to him the corporal punishment policy and also let him know that her plan had been approved by the school principal. She proposed to him that in all instances in which she needed to sentence corporal punishment, that she did so, but delayed the punishment until the end of the week. She did not want to have to call him to her office every time a female student needed to be paddled. Instead, every Friday, during his conference period, she would summon all offenders to her office at which time he would join them. With her serving as the same sex witness, she would simply call in each girl one at a time, and he would give them a hard paddling. He asked her to clarify what she meant by a “hard paddling” and she informed him that she wanted him to smack their bottoms as hard as he could as her goal was for the word to spread and discipline issues in her office to be cut by 50% in the 1st month. She explained that many girls’ poor bottoms would pay the price, but as a result, many would be spared, as once the word spread amongst the female student population as to who was actually doing the paddling, she speculated that girls would be giving second thoughts to any behavior that would land them in the office. He told her that he would be happy to assist in any way she needed in her “spanking assembly line experiment”.

The 1st week of school went about as she expected which led to many young ladies in her office. There were always those new 10th graders making the adjustments to high school that were just goofing off and thinking they could get away with their juvenile behavior. There were a couple of dress code violations as it was still warm out and girls were trying to get away with short shorts. There was a two girl fight that seemed to be carried over from the previous year. She had one smoker, a few excessive tardies, and several girls who had skipped a class or two. In general, it was not that far different from her what she had dealt with at middle school. She was not a total hard ass and dealt with the issues as fairly as she could. Several girls received detention, a couple were sent home to change and also received detention, two girls spent their lunch hour cleaning the girl’s restroom, and various other minor punishments were assigned. Her smoker, the girls who had skipped class, and the girls who fought were all told they would be paddled. She was a little surprised at their reactions to the fact that they were to be paddled, as it did not seem to bother the girls all that much. Either they were used to it, got it at home often, or just did not see this VP as much of a threat with a paddle in her hand. They were all a little surprised when they were told to report to her office at the beginning of 3rd period on Friday, but with the exception of that bit of information, they seemed to take it in stride.
With the new paddle in hand he gives her a second severe swat. She does a little dance as her body is telling her to run…but she has 6 more severe swats to go.
On Friday morning she sent reminders to all of the girls’ 3rd period teachers that the girls would be late for class, or if they showed up for class, they were to report to the office immediately. In preparation she lined up 5 chairs outside her office door for each girl to wait in. After the second period ending bell, the girls started filing in. She instructed the secretary to have them take a seat and wait. They tried to laugh and joke a little, showing each other that they were not scared, while a couple were indeed quite nervous. Even with the new female VP administering the paddling, getting their butts spanked with a board did indeed hurt. But for the most part they were happy to not have to spend their time after school in detention and this was a much quicker and easier way to get their punishment over with. A few minutes after the 3rd period bell rang all of the girls were in their seats waiting.
One girl properly paddled and sent back out, while the next is brought in…four more butts to go.
The smiles and giggles turned to confusion when the big baseball coach arrived and walked into the VP’s office. They began to look at each other, but convinced themselves that he was there for an unrelated reason. A few minutes later, her office door opened and she appeared with a clipboard in hand. She called in the 1st girl and each girl shared a look as they realized the coach had not come back out. The 1st girl was shocked as she walked in and saw that the coach was holding a large wooden school paddle. The VP looked at the girl’s discipline slip and reminded her, and the coach, what the offense was. She announced that the girl would be getting 8 swats with the paddle. She had taped a line on the floor and asked the student, the one who had been caught smoking, to put her toes on the line and to bend over and place her hands on the wall. This student was in 10th grade and brand new to the high school system. She thought that smoking would be cool and she was about to find out in a very serious manner that there was nothing cool regarding what was about to happen. The coach and the VP changed places and he lined up behind the girl whose bottom was properly presented for her paddling. The coach asked if he should close the door and the VP told him that she had an open door policy. She wanted everyone, including those about to be paddled, to hear what happens in her office when a student’s butt is being paddled.
He has her adjust her position so her bottom is nice and tight and feels the full effect of very hard swats.
While the VP was not doing the paddling, she needed to emphasize that she was fully in control of these proceedings. She asked the coach to begin and stated that all eight swats needed to be “very hard” as she see smoking in school as a very big problem. He gave her a little smile and said “yes ma’am”. He liked this new VP and did not want to disappoint. His 1st inclination would not to have been to go full force on this little sophomore’s bottom, but he was thankful that there was an administrator who was willing to finally deal with a growing discipline problem in the school. Things had been the same for a very long time and he was happy to be part of the change. With the thought if making a real difference he lifted the paddle high in the air and brought it down as hard as he could swing. The sound was almost deafening in the tiny cinderblock office, even the girls outside waiting to be paddled jumped a little in their seats. Two things happened simultaneously as the paddle hit her tight little bottom. The first was the sound of her screaming at the top of her lungs and the second was the paddle breaking in half. Both he and the VP looked at each other as to ask “what now”. She quickly hurried to the male VP’s office and asked if she could borrow his paddle. The boys paddle was a little thicker and should not have the same issue. She walked back to her office and the look on the faces of the young ladies waiting to be paddled was much different that they had been 3 minutes before. She smiled and told them that she was sorry for the delay, but that they would get their bottoms paddled in just a few minutes.

She walked back into her office and the girl was still in place, but with tears streaming down her face. It seemed that 1st swat had really gotten the job done, seven more would certainly make the impression she was looking to leave. She handed the coach the thicker paddle and said “7 more, just like the 1st one please”. He took the paddle and got back to work. After the 2nd swat she yelled just a loudly and began to tremble. Her legs shook back and forth, almost like she was running in place. Her body was telling her to run but she knew she had no choice to suffer through 6 more severe swats to her already bruised bottom. The rest of the paddle swats were laid on fairly quickly. She screamed after each one and her crying grew louder. The sounds coming from the office had a big impact on the girl’s waiting in the chairs for their turn. They could not believe how loud the paddling was, they also could not believe how badly the 10th grade girl was crying. The two girls who had been fighting both knew they had ten swats coming and they were really starting to sweat it. One of the girls who had skipped a class was already in tears. She still got the belt on occasion at home from her dad, and it was never more than four or five strokes. There had not been a single strapping from her dad’s belt that did not leave her in tears and she wondered how she was going to react to the paddling she was listening to at the moment. She had not even had her turn and she was already promising herself and God that she would never miss another class.

When the 1st paddling was complete, she had the poor girl, who was sobbing uncontrollably stand up and go right back out and sit down. Before she had even left the office she called the next girl in. The three girls in the chairs could not even look at her as she sat down and buried her face in her hands. Her crying would last long after all the paddlings had been completed. One by one the process was the same as each girl was given a severe paddling and then sent back out to the main office to sit until all of the paddlings were complete. Each and every girl cried, there was really no avoiding it with a paddling of that intensity. Five girls in and five girls out, all in tears, and all with very bruised bottoms. When she had five very tearful girls in the chairs outside her office she walked out and told them all that this was the new reality in the school. She explained that she understands that they are teens and that they are going to push the boundaries a bit, but it needed to be clear that this would always be the results. She asked them to all tell their friends because this was the paddling that every female student could expect for misbehavior. With that said she sent the tearful girls back to the 3rd period class. She thanked the coach and told him how very much she appreciated his assistance. She then returned the paddle and walked down to the woodshop. She took the broken paddle with her and explained the problem she was having. She told him that she needed a paddle that was a little bit bigger, quite a bit thicker, and made from a harder wood. She said it would get less and less use over the next semester but that she wanted to be prepared for the worst case scenario. Three months later as she prepared for a Friday paddling, she only had to pull one chair in front of her office and it was the 1st paddling in three weeks.

It generally happens a couple hours after a girl has had her bottom paddled at school. Getting her butt paddled is certainly a very painful event, but at some point during, or shortly after, her paddling, the body starts to take care of things. Extreme pain is combated by the body by the production of endorphins. The body is an amazing thing and sometimes during a paddling a teen girl’s bottom might actually go numb as a result of endorphins. She wipes away the tears and heads back to class and there is a point that she might think that it is not as bad as she thought it was going to be. Yes it hurt, yes she cried, but now, 10 minutes after, her butt seems to be doing ok.
Endorphins combat immediate pain but they do not last forever. Generally after about 30 minutes they start to wear off. She might be sitting in a hard wooden desk in class when the sensations start to return. The numbness gives way to a gentle tingling, which in itself is not so bad. become what can only described as pain. After an hour or so after her paddling, the throbbing really builds and starts to consume her thoughts. She realizes that it might indeed be as bad as she thought and as time passes, it becomes much worse than she expected.
By the time several hours have passed she begins to realize that her punishment is not over and that it is really just beginning. To go along with the throbbing the muscles in her bottom begin to really tighten up. It is like she had the longest glut workout of her life and every muscle in her bottom is rebelling. She realizes that simple tasks such as walking, bending, and most especially sitting, cause her great discomfort. By the time she gets home from school that day she is in more pain than she was just moments after the paddling.

That night she takes a look in the mirror and sees that the bruises have already begun to take shape. Her bottom is black and blue, especially on the right butt cheek. She has big bulls eye marks on the bottom of each butt cheek where the paddle compressed her skin, dug deep into her muscles, and then the waves spread out from there. At this point it is not just movement of those muscles that felt the paddle, or sitting that provides discomfort, it now fully exists all of the time. Her little butt throbs with every beat of her heart and there is a pounding that she feels all of the time.
When she goes to bed that night, she realizes that she will be sleeping on her side or her stomach, and that lying on her back is not an option. Her poor bottom aches all of the time, but now putting any pressure on it is out of the question. She tosses and turns all night long as her aching butt wakes her up every few minutes. butt has seized up. It takes a few moments before she can even commit to the 1st step. She finds herself squatting over the toilet to pee as there is not a chance that her butt could handle the hard seat. As she showers she does not even really touch her butt, it is far too sore for a wash cloth to be rubbed on it. The tight jeans that she typically wears are not an option as she elects to wear lose fitting sweat pants. The ride to school is brutal, even on the padded seats of her mom’s car and she feels every bump in the road.
She arrives at school and quickly finds out that as bad as all of this has been for her that it is now that her real punishment begins. The bell rings and she hurries to class and then has to sit down at the hard wooden seat of a high school desk. She has no choice but to sit as class has started. She winces in pain as her bottom touches the seat, within a minute she is trying to hide the tears in her eyes from her classmates.

is wearing. There are many students who are sent to the office during gym class, cheer practice, or during any other school activity in which they have changed from their regular school clothes.

At Realspankings.com we see a young lady caught smoking after cheer practice and she is sent to the principal wearing the tiny little practice uniforms that we often see cheerleaders wearing when they are not in the full uniforms. On RealspankingsInstitute.com, I really loved this scene as well. It mixes a couple of things we rarely see in school paddling videos. The 1st is the fact that she is wearing skin tight, white, yoga pants that are so shear, you can actually see how bad the paddle is bruising her bottom through her pants. Look closely at the picture and you can see big purple marks on her bottom, through her pants. This scene is also quite unique in that she is paddled in the “lunge position”. I have read of true accounts in which schools have utilized this position for a paddling, and here we get to see it actually take place. As with the previous scene, this is a full force paddling, with a giant wooden paddle, that lifts her off of her feet with each swat of the paddle.

Some principals and administrators make a school paddling a long drawn out experience for the young lady in trouble. There is a long discussion about her behavior, there is a decent amount of time she has to sit in the office before the paddling takes place, and the paddling itself can last a few minutes. Each swat is applied to her bottom, with 20-30 seconds in between, allowing the pain to fully set in, and making it an experience she will never forget.

The whole process of paddling a young lady’s bottom in high school can take place within about 5 minutes. Clearly he needs to look into why she was sent to the office in the 1st place, needs to read what the teacher has put on the referral, and hear the student’s side of things. He needs to check her records and see what sort of trouble she has been in before. Once this process is complete he decides on a course of action. At this point he tells her that she is going to receive a paddling. Most schools require a corporal punishment form to be filled out, which can be done in a minute. While things are moving along quickly, that minute between the time she is told she is going to be paddled and while he fills out the form, can be seem like a very long time. She has just enough time to consider the fact that the paddle hanging on the wall is going to be used to bust her butt.

Once the administrative stuff is taken care of, he wastes no time. He tells her to stand up, approach the desk, and to bend over. He grabs the paddle off of the wall, walks up behind her, and gets right to work. Unlike many principals, his technique is to spank her bottom with the paddle as fast as he can. He does not sacrifice technique, accuracy, or most importantly, severity when paddling her bottom, he simply chooses to get it over with as fast as possible. His technique is not to lay on a swat, let it sink it, give her a moment for the tears to start; it is over almost as fast as it began.

The stinging and the throbbing all begins at once and instead of her eyes watering a little and building, the moment the paddling is over she is crying instantly. But he likes to move things along and there is no time for her tears. He has her sit down immediately, sign the corporal punishment form, and she is then sent immediately from his office. She is not even close to being done with adjusting to the pain and getting all of her emotions out. When she walks from his office into the main school office, it has the effect of making an impression on the students waiting to see the principal. She is still holding her bottom, her face is bright red, and she does not only have tears in her eyes, she is still crying. She would be quite embarrassed under normal circumstances, but she has no control over this situation, all she can focus on is how much her bruised bottom hurts.
